The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a popular momentum oscillator in technical analysis developed by J. As with most oscillator, RSI is used to identify potential buy or sell opportunities and gauge the possible trend direction. Indicator Settings Explained
Here are the settings that are available for this indicator. Unlike other complicated RSI indicators you may find on the internet, this indicator has been streamlined and is easy to use.
RSIPeriod – The number of periods (bars) you want to calculate the RSI over.
OverBoughtLevel – The overbought level where you want an alert to trigger.
OverSoldLevel – The oversold level where you want an alert to trigger.
UpperLevel2 – Set another visual level, if you need it. This level does not trigger alerts. If you don't need this level, set it to 100.
LowerLevel2 – Set another visual level, if you need it. This level does not trigger alerts. If you don't need this level, set it to 0.
alertType – You can choose if you want the alert to trigger:
DoAlert – Activate on-screen RSI alerts in Metatrader 4.
DoNotification – Activate Metatrader 4 mobile app push notifications. Push notifications need to be setup in your Metatrader 4 settings for this to work.
DoEmail – Activate email alerts. Email alerts need to be setup in your Metatrader 4 settings for this to work.
This indicator will create alerts on the chart and timeframe that the indicator is attached to. Alerts must be turned on in the indicator and setup in MetaTrader.
For example if you attach this indicator to the EURUSD H1 chart, you will only get alerts from that currency pair and timeframe.
